Enterprise Conversion Solutions * – Image and data conversion solutions
Jack Henry Banking enables banks to reduce the costs required to maintain legacy data archives or merger and acquisition data with Enterprise Conversion Solutions (ECS).
ECS is an extremely reliable and affordable solution that converts images and data from antiquated check image, document image, COLD, and signature card solutions to state-of-the-art and more cost-effective platforms. ECS consists of four Windows®-based, plug-and-play modules – Check Image, COLD and Text Data, Document Image Data, and Signature Card Data – that have been used to seamlessly convert images and data from hundreds of platforms previously used by more than 900 diverse financial institutions.
Legacy data can be converted from more than 190 different systems to banks’ current image or data systems, or maintained in the ECS system for ongoing research and printing. The ability to convert legacy data to more cost-effective archives reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO).
Operating in a multibank archive or data center environment, ProfitStars leverages its sophisticated ECS product suite, its unique expertise, and its experience with virtually every imaging platform that has been used in the financial industry to offer two client-centric, cost-effective conversion alternatives.
ECS Import
ECS Import expedites ongoing data retrieval, research, and printing with all converted images and data residing in the bank’s existing image or data system. This option creates a central archive by extracting all images and data from the legacy system; converting the images and data into an industry-standard file format such as TIFF, COFF, or GIF; and importing the converted images and data into banks’ existing check imaging, COLD, or document imaging systems. ECS Import is the most efficient solution for maintaining legacy data in the current or new system, and enables use of the legacy system to be discontinued completely.
ECS Image or Statement Browser
ECS Image/Statement Browser creates a central archive by extracting all images and data from the legacy system, converting the images and data into an industry-standard format such as TIFF, COFF, or GIF. The converted images and data can then be written to a much less expensive storage medium such as NAS, SAN, hard disk, or DVD. The ECS Image/Statement Browser is then used for research and retrieval using the search functions of database-driven query tools. Using the ECS database and browser, use of the legacy system software and hardware can be discontinued completely which results in the lowest TCO. The extremely flexible ECS product suite can read most legacy systems including AFS, Treev, Fidelity Information Services, ITI Director, Highlands/Onbase, and others; and supports diverse media types including Panasonic 940 meg up to 30 gig, network- and drive-based systems, and CD-ROM and DVD.
The ECS product suite includes conversion tools and import data formats for most check image, document image, COLD, and signature systems available, as well as a fully featured image and data browser for research and printing.
Banks can seamlessly migrate images and data to the industry’s ever-advancing systems and technology by maintaining all legacy or merger and acquisition images and data in industry-standard formats. The ability to maintain legacy images and data in current systems or in the ECS system enables banks to completely eliminate legacy systems and the associated maintenance and hardware costs, which eliminates the financial deterrent to implementing newer state-of-the-art technology and reduces TCO.
ECS Image/Import is another innovative imaging solution that reduces labor, postage and operating costs, generates material operating efficiencies, enhances customer service and convenience, expedites research, and streamlines information access and distribution.
