Vertex Teller™ Capture – Check processing and truncation solution

Vertex Teller Capture images checks at the teller line, automatically posts transactions, and electronically processes items through the Check 21 network. Tellers use scanners connected to PC workstations to scan checks and deposit slips. Once the teller has accepted the imaged data, Vertex Teller Capture automatically populates the Vertex Teller Automation System with transaction information, reducing the potential for human error and the time customers must spend at the teller window. Vertex Teller Capture then logs the transaction and imaged data into the local workstation hard drive and an electronic file containing the transaction information is automatically sent to the bank’s check image exchange server via FTP. The ability to eliminate traditional check processing with teller capture expedites transaction processing, streamlines teller and back-office operations, eliminates courier costs, prevents fraud and money laundering, and reduces other expenses associated with traditional item processing.
